The SRX-02 Concert Piano board dedicates its entire 64MB of wave memory to one purpose—reproducing the most exquisite stereosampled piano sound Roland has ever offered. When combined with an XV-88 or RD-700’s precision Hammer-Action keyboard, the SRX-02 provides a heavenly piano playing experience.

This expansion board features stereo sampled sounds of a

concert grand piano, from the most subtle pianissimo sounds

to the most powerful fortissimos.

The stereo waveforms are recorded using two mic’ing

techniques: ON Mic, for well-defined presence; and OFF Mic,

which provides ambient sound. Each is adjustable over four

volume levels, p (piano), mp (mezzopiano), f (forte), and ff

fortissimo).

The expansion board includes Patches applicable to a wide

variety of musical genres, from the traditional piano sounds

essential for Classical music, to sounds combining string,

pad, and other sounds, Split Tones with the bass in the lower

registers, and more.
